Lilit Bulilit ran from 1983 to 1990 in the pages of Plipino Funny Komiks, published by Islas Filipinas Publishing Co., Inc. It was created by cartoonist Tonton Young, who is best known for his newspaper comic strip Pupung. One of Funny Komiks' most popular series, LB presented the humorous antics of lovable little girl Lilit, her friends Wawi and Batotoy, and the buck-toothed Chinaman Mang Ke. __________________________________________________________
While it was not a superhero strip, LB did occasionally poke fun at them. In the following episode from Funny Komiks #450 (January 30, 1987), Mang Ke's chubby inventor brother Mang Kok tries to be like Captain Barbell. ____________________________________________________
