SUPERDOG and the Wolf in Steel Clothing

From Pilipino Funny Komiks #291 (January 13, 1984), one of my favorite Superdog episodes, as his arch-nemesis Dr. Wolf battles him in an invincible suit of armor.

TOUGH TECH

BLUE TURBO MAX

This month, it's all about armor...

Created by writer/artist Karl Comendador, Blue Turbo Max first appeared in the first issue of The Adventures of Machine Men Komiks-Magasin (March 19, 1994).  Published by Counterpoint Publishing House, Inc., the short-lived magazine featured characters inspired by the Japanese Metal Hero series.  After the book folded, Max was relaunched the following year, with a modified look, in the pages of Ace Superheroes Komiks #1 (June 1, 1995), published by Adventures Illustrated Magazines, Inc.

A "super android" from the planet Plutos is sent to Earth, assuming the identity of woodsman Maximo "Imo" Briones.  When evil threatens, he transforms into the armored hero Blue Turbo Max.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Imo transforms into his armored alter-ego by merely shouting out his name, "Blue Turbo Max!"

Max's armor is impervious to most forms of harm (although a powerful enough force can cause a considerable amount of damage).  He also has the ability to transform into any type of vehicle or metallic object.  His frequent transformations include a jet, a car, a giant boomerang, a metal eagle, a warhead and a giant robot.

Max can also shoot laser blasts from his fingers and is capable of flight.  His greatest weapon is the Blue Laser Sword.

FRIENDS

KIT
Max's disc-shaped robot sidekick.  More than just comic-relief, Kit himself is packed with weaponry and assists Max in battle.
LAURA
Imo's girlfriend, a fish vendor.

BRAVADO
A rebel leader from an underground civilization ruled by the tyrant Drago.
ZEREX AND GOR
The aliens who created Max.  They are never seen.

FOES

RANDOM ALIENS
Max's hometown appears to be the alien invasion capital of the Philippines, as it receives frequent visits from various extra-terrestrials with malicious intent.
Alien Invasions: It's more fun in the Philippines!

SPACE ZOMBIES
Undead aliens, exiled from their world and crashed onto ours.

ZARKANYA
Leader of a group of females from a dying alien race, going from planet to planet abducting males in search of the perfect mate.

ANTELOPYO AND MUNOKOY
Weird-looking Walrus Alien

A pair of armored assassins sent by a race of weird-looking walrus aliens to destroy Max.  Antelopyo has the ability to transform into a giant robot.

BOLTO
An android warrior activated after Max defeats Antelopyo and Munokoy.

DAYUHANG HALIMAW
("ALIEN MONSTER")

What the title says.
NUCLEAR WASTE MONSTER
It seems Max's town is also prone to environmental disasters that usually result in horrendous mutations, such as this monstrosity spawned by nuclear waste.

LUMOT ("MOSS")

A creature of living moss, brought to life by severe pollution.  It later merges with a criminal, who goes on a destructive rampage.

DAMBUHALANG SINGAW ("GIANT FUNGUS")
A gigantic monster fungus devouring everything in its path.

RIKUTITUS
A race of underground-dwelling creatures.

DRAGO
The tyrannical ruler of an underground kingdom.
DR. MURALLA
A mad scientist (there's always one).  Described as Max's arch-nemesis, although only one encounter has ever been told.

GOLEM
Dr. Muralla's robot creation.
